Novodevichy Convent

The Novodevichy Convent is a picturesque old temple complex located in the historical part of Moscow, near the Luzhniki Stadium. This is one of the oldest religious ensembles in the country, which has been revered for many centuries. Throughout its history, the monastery has experienced wars and devastation, the Time of Troubles, fires, turning into a museum and much more. Despite this, today the shrine has been transferred to the Moscow Patriarchate for unlimited and gratuitous use, fully restored, and open for visits by pilgrims and tourists.
